Pre-information notice for a low value contract – Provision of venue, catering, on-site services and technical support for a Conference organized in Athens, Greece – refe

The Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) is planning to award a contract for the organization of a one-day Conference following the publication of the Country Report. The conference is planned to take place in Athens (Greece) in March 2020. Approximately 300 participants are expected to attend with international and national experts delivering speeches/presentations.

We are looking for a service provider able to support the organization of this event. The tasks include but are not limited to: providing a conference room, a welcome area and a catering space with catering service (coffee and lunch), interpretation services (English and Greek), technical inputs into the programme (e.g. suggestions on speakers) and prepare a conference report.

DG ECFIN intends to invite potential candidates and send them the tender specifications with full details in the course of November 2019. Candidates are however reminded that at this stage no details on the tender specifications can be communicated.

This invitation/notice is in no way binding on the European Commission. The Commission's contractual obligation commences only upon signature of the contract with the successful candidate. Up to the point of signature, DG ECFIN may either abandon the procurement or cancel the award procedure, without the candidates being entitled to claim any compensation. Candidates will be notified.
