Youth Policy Dialogue 2026

The European Union (EU) is committed to giving young people a real seat at the table and ensuring their voices shape the future of Europe. Through the Youth Policy Dialogues, young Europeans are invited to engage directly with EU decision-makers, helping to ensure that policies reflect the priorities, ideas, and ambitions of the next generation.

The second edition of the Youth Policy Dialogue with Valdis Dombrovskis, EU Commissioner for Economy and Productivity; Implementation and Simplification, will take place at Riga Technical University, in Latvia, on 2 March 2026. This dialogue will focus on Latvia’s economy in the European context, offering a platform for meaningful discussion on the economic challenges and opportunities shaping Latvia’s and Europe’s future.

Nineteen young participants will take part in this dynamic exchange. They will have the opportunity to share their perspectives and engage in open discussions with Commissioner Dombrovskis on the key economic issues that matter most to young people in Latvia.

Youth Policy Dialogues will continue on a regular basis, strengthening the role of young people in EU decision-making and ensuring their voices remain at the heart of Europe’s future.
