Description
The use of macroeconomic models for assessing and estimating global and cross-country macroeconomic spillovers has been increasingly on the radar of modellers and analysts across institutions.
This workshop will enable participants to share their experiences in developing, estimating and using models to assess issues at global level, such as big supply and demand shocks in emerging economies or common and idiosyncratic drivers of different recovery patterns; as well as country-specific experiences in the euro area.
A debate on the main deficiencies and on the performance of our models in forecasting key international and domestic developments is also on the agenda.
This workshop is jointly organised by the Joint Research Centre and DG Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission.
It is mostly addressed to modellers and analysts in EU institutions, Member-State administrations and academia.
