The European Investment Project Portal and EuroQuity partner up to reinforce their pipelines of SME projects

The European Investment Project Portal (EIPP) and EuroQuity, a service created by Bpifrance, the French public investment bank, announce their partnership to put growth companies in contact with development partners, particularly investors.

As part of this partnership, the EIPP and EuroQuity will exchange projects for publication on their respective databases. Project promoters and companies, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), will therefore benefit from both parties' combined out-reach and promotion abilities. The collaboration between the EIPP and EuroQuity will also entail a closer technical cooperation between the two platforms, as well as joint promotional initiatives and events.

European Commission Vice-President, Jyrki Katainen responsible for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness said: "This latest partnership with the Project Portal will help us in our mission to match growth companies with potential investors at European and regional level. In EuroQuity, the Portal gains a strong partner with long-standing experience and a comprehensive platform of both entrepreneurs and investors. I hope that many innovative European companies will benefit from this additional collaboration".

Nicolas Dufourcq, Bpifrance CEO, adds: “Bpifrance is strongly committed to provide via EuroQuity high potential companies across Europe with growth and investment opportunities. There are already more than 6700 companies, 1100 investors and 800 business supports listed on EuroQuity. This partnership between the EIPP and EuroQuity will strengthen the outreach of both platforms, supporting innovation and financing ecosystems by promoting crossed-labelled opportunities”.

About the European Investment Project Portal (EIPP)

The European Investment Project Portal  (EIPP) is a multilingual online platform providing greater visibility and transparency about EU investment projects and opportunities. The EIPP is a key instrument of the Investment Plan for Europe aiming to support the financing of investment projects across the EU covering all sectors of the economy, including small and medium-sized enterprises. The EIPP was launched by the European Commission in June 2016 to provide a transparent forward-looking pipeline of EU investment projects. More than 250 projects are already published on the EIPP, covering various high-economic-potential sectors.

EU project promoters can register their projects on-line and boost their visibility to a large network of international investors to get the funding they need.

Promoters can submit projects in any of the 24 EU official languages and the European Commission will provide and publish a free translation into English. In return, investors looking for opportunities in Europe can use the Portal's advanced search and filtering criteria to choose among a broad array of projects.

The Portal is provided and hosted by the European Commission and is part of the Investment Plan for Europe initiative to mobilise investment, promote economic growth and create more jobs across the EU. More information is available at: http://ec.europa.eu/eipp
