February 2025 : Economic Sentiment up and Employment Expectations down in the EU and the euro area
In February 2025, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) increased in both the EU (+1.1 points to 97.1) and the euro area (+1.0 points to 96.3). The Employment Expectations Indicator (EEI) turned down in both areas (EU: -1.2 points to 98.1, euro area: -1.5 points to 97.0). Both indicators score below their long-term average of 100.
February 2025 : Flash Consumer Confidence Indicator for the EU and the euro area
In February 2025, DG ECFIN’s flash estimate of the consumer confidence indicator picked up by 0.4 percentage points (pps.) in the EU and by 0.6 pps. in the euro area. At -12.9 (EU) and -13.6 (euro area) points, consumer confidence remained below its long-term average.
