DG ECFIN Workshop – "What public investment for the future?"

The workshop will be a half-day online event with high-profile speakers and discussants from academics and international organizations.

The workshop will be structured in two parts. The first session will focus on identifying the most-growth enhancing public investments, in the current context of limited fiscal pace in the EU. The second session will zoom in on defence investment, which has become a higher priority for EU countries in the aftermath of Russia’s war on Ukraine and  the economic effects of which have not been thoroughly explored in the European context.
